Last March 5, 2010 was the formal turn-over and blessing of DILG-BFP Fire Truck, the donated Musical Instruments courtesy of SNPIDA-Australian Aid and the newly purchased Back Hoe coming from the municipal funds of 2010.
It was personally attended by Congressman Guillermo A. Romarate, Jr., Dep-Ed Regional Director Sol F. Matugas, Senior Superintendent Warlito P. Daus, BFP Regional Director and other provincial figures in the Province of Surigao del Norte who made the turned over to the municipals of LGU Alegria headed by Hon. Dominador G. Esma, Jr..
Congressman Romarate stressed in his speech that the people of Alegria is very lucky to have municipal officials of today who are always working for the good and welfare of the town. He added, that LGU Alegria is now progressing and wish that the people would realize how Mayor Esma is sincerely doing for the good of the town. According to the congressman, “ This is just the first term of Mayor Esma and more projects will be coming in to this LGU if he will be given another term by his constituents because of the impressive developments in the municipality”.
At the same time, Congressman Romarate distributed Philhealth Family Health Cards to more than 1,500 families from the 12 barangays of the municipality. These renewed Philhealth cards cover health benefits for the year 2010. This is a yearly program of Congressman Romarate and LGU Alegria so that any family member that will be hospitalized can avail of cheaper medicines and pay less in hospital bills.
Mayor Dominador G. Esma, Jr. and the rest of the municipal officials including the barangay captains of the municipality were very thankful to Congressman Romarate and to Dep-Ed Regional Director Sol F. Matugas who represented Congressman Francisco T. Matugas in this occasion, of their continuous support of the local programs and projects of the municipality.
The blessing of the new equipments was officiated by Rev. Fr. Silverio Relova, Parish Priest of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Kitcharao, Agusan del Norte in the absence of Rev. Fr. Nick B. Penados, Parish Priest of San Isidro Labrador Parish, Alegria, Surigao del Norte who was in Manila that time.
