Christmas Party of LGU filled with Joy

For the first time in the history of LGU Alegria Christmas party celebration among municipal officials and employees, the December 21, 2009 Christmas party was full of excitement and joy where every office had shown presentations in various ways to fill the spirit of Christmas and camaraderie. Despite of different political affiliations of local elected officials headed by Mayor Dominador G. Esma, Jr., they were in unison to provide extra funds for additional Christmas bonuses ever to happen for the past 41 years.

Couples For Christ – Alegria Celebrate 15th Anniversary

On December 19, 2009 was the 15^th anniversary celebration and Christmas party of Couples For Christ (CFC) Alegria Chapter, Alegria, Surigao del Norte attended by more than 300 members representing four (4) units coming from Barangay San Juan, San Pedro, Poblacion and Budlingin which was held at the Alegria Community Center and Stage. Business Enterprise Fund Extended to Budlingin

Under the Poverty Alleviation Fund of DAR-IFAD NMCIREMP Project of LGU Alegria, Surigao del Norte, the Budlingin Rural Workers Association, a community institution , was recipient of the Business Enterprise Fund in the form of check amounting to P240,000.00 given last December 9, 2009 (continue)

Basura Mo Bayloan Ko Program Launched

Of the Of the 12 barangays in the Local Government Unit of Alegria, Surigao del Norte, Barangay Anahaw was the first to construct the Material Recovery Facility (MRF) in response to Alegria Solid Waste Management Program as mandated by RA 9003, the Solid Waste Management Act of the Philippines. LGU Alegria Among the Top Ten Performers in the 2nd Gov. Robert Ace S. Barbers Search for the Cleanest and Greenest Municipality in the Province of Surigao del Norte

During this year 2009 Search for the 2^nd Gov. Robert Ace S. Barbers Award for the Cleanest and Greenest Municipality in the Province of Surigao del Norte, Alegria once again garnered special awards and chosen as the 9^th placer in this year’s search for the cleanest and greenest municipality among 21 local government units in the Province of Surigao del Norte.. Socio-Economic and Infrasturcture Development Project in Barangay Budlingin being Implemented

Barangay Budlingin today is now one of the progressive barangays in Alegria, Surigao del Norte. Beside of having a nice and beautiful Lumondo Waterfalls and Puting Bato cave, this place have several projects being undertaken funded by foreign and local funding agencies. (continue)

12 Barangays in Alegria Recepients of Pantawid Pampamilya Pilipino of DSWD

The National Sector Support for Social Welfare and Development Reform Project (NSS-SWDRP) of the Department of Social Welfare and Development with technical assistance from World Bank included recently the Local Government Unit of Alegria as the 14^th municipality of the Province of Surigao del Norte as recipient under the Pampatawid Pampamilyang Pilipino Program commonly called as 4Ps Program. There are 500 families who are beneficiaries of this program coming from the 12 barangays of the town. (continue)
 
Bishop Cabahug Officiates the Blessings of Two Infra Projects in Alegria

Through coordination and support among religious and government sectors, the blessing and cutting of ribbons of the newly completed tennis court located inside the municipal grounds and the farm to lakeshore road with fish landing facility at Brgy. Concrete Line Canal Constructed in Barangay Ouano

 

Under the leadership of ABC President, Hon. Ferdinand L. Angob, Barangay Captain of Julio Ouano with the full support of his Barangay Officials and constituents constructed recently the 528 linear meters of concrete line canal situated at Sitio Happiness. (continue)

GSP Provincial Encampment held at Alegria

For the first time, the Girls Scout of the Philippines Surigao del Norte Chapter held its provincial encampment in the Municipality of Alegria as the host district in coordination of the local government unit on September 30 to October 3, 2009 at the Alegria Central Elementary School (ACES) grounds participated in by 12 DepEd districts in the mainland municipalities of the province including Surigao City.

LGU Alegria Joins Clean-Up Surigao and ACES Program

In support to the Clean-Up Surigao Campaign and Advocacy for Clean Environment & its Sustainability (ACES) Program of the Provincial Government of Surigao del Norte, the local government unit of Alegria readily accepted/implemented this environmental campaign and program and the same was advocated to the 12 barangays of the municipality under similar program tagged as Environmental Sustainability and Management of Alegria (ESMA) Program.
